I support a wealth tax because I believe that such a measure is an integral part of a sustainable future for our descendants. The wealthiest 1% emits 15% of all CO2 emissions. Twice as much as the poorest half of our globe. We owe it to the rest of the world to positively contribute to the issues we have exacerbated through overconsumption. Token gestures such as the banning of single-use plastics do not enact real-world change, I believe actual steps and decisive actions must be taken to save our climate.

Through my company Refurbed I am already pushing society towards sustainable consumption through the reuse and refurbishment of consumer electronics. I believe more must be done to enable a modern and sustainable future truly. Notable those with more incredible wealth should pay their fair share of taxes to ensure we can prioritize our sustainable future.
